"Winona, We're All Connected"
Tree Initiative
On April 30th, 2024, a Spring Wonder Sargent's Cherry blossom tree was planted on Winona State University's campus on the lawn between Phelps Hall and Maxwell Hall.
The tree, symbolizing the culturally diverse community of Winona growing and blossoming together, was part of PRSSA's "Winona, We're All Connected" campaign, which started from a cultural exhibition hosted by PRSSA and Mass Communications students.
More than just a symbol of natural beauty, the blossom tree represents WSU's steadfast commitment to diversity, inclusion, and unity.
It marks the first student-led initiative of its kind at WSU and is the culmination of fundraising efforts that garnered generous donations from WSU students, faculty, family members, and more.

"Winona, We're All Connected"
Cultural Exhibition
The "Winona, We're All Connected" campaign sparked with an exhibition event hosted by PRSSA in November 2023.
The exhibition and overall campaign aimed to celebrate the interconnectedness that unites us all as Warriors.
In collaboration with campus diversity clubs, the exhibition highlighted students' rich cultural backgrounds through the display of significant cultural and historical artworks.
In conjunction, Mass Communications student groups presented campaigns designed to enhance community and foster human connections within our culturally fluid community.
