"Winona, We're All Connected" Exhibition
The "Winona, We're All Connected" campaign and tree initiation sparked with an exhibition event hosted by PRSSA in November 2023, titled "Winona, We're All Connected".
The exhibition and overall campaign aimed to celebrate and emphasize the interconnectedness that unites us all as Warriors, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for every student.
In collaboration with campus diversity clubs (the Hmong American Student Association and the Black Student Union) the exhibition served to highlight students' rich cultural backgrounds through the display of significant cultural and historical artworks.
In conjunction, Mass Communications student groups presented campaigns designed to enhance community and foster human connections within our culturally fluid community.

At the event, PRSSA hosted an interactive map where students could share their cultural identities and experiences. Beginning with Winona as the hub, each pin placed on the map was connected with a string, showcasing how despite each student's background, we are all connected through our shared time at WSU.

As a sustainable extension of "Winona, We're All Connected,” symbolizing the growth and unity of our diverse community over time, PRSSA announced a Tree Planting project with the goal of enriching the sense of community on campus by fostering connections among individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
To bring this vision to true, PRSSA launched a $1000 fundraising endeavor to fund the planting of a blossom tree on campus. This tree initiative was envisioned to honor the culturally diverse WSU community growing and blossoming together.
